Buying Group Health Insurance

Those who do not understand change
are condemned to stay the same.

At one point in time, everyone lived in a flat world.  No one ever talked about it being flat because everyone knew the world was flat and it shaped what people thought and did.  It kept exploration to a minimum.  It defined what was possible and not possible.

Then, at some point, it was demonstrated the world was round.  Then all of a sudden, the rules were different.  You could sail west and end up back where you started.  In other words, everyone’s thinking changed.  Whole new outcomes became possible.

Buying Health Insurance in the Flat World

In the flat world of Massachusetts, everyone knows there are a handful of health insurance companies.  In Rhode Island, there are two.  Everyone believes that each and every health insurance broker will deliver an identical health insurance quote.

Everyone uses the same spreadsheet pricing comparison approach using the same handful of health insurance companies.  They go through this year after year while hoping that at least one broker will come up with different health insurance quotes.

What is it they call that "when you keep doing the same thing while expecting a different result?"  Insanity?  So, the client remains loyal to their flat world health insurance broker. They do not appear to be open to any other way of thinking.

Buying Health Insurance in a Round World

 Carrot and Stick Wellness

In the round world, outcomes are different.  BenefitsLab's thinking is “out-of-the-box.”

The flat world broker believes they can hang on to the client's health insurance account by showing that client they'll always deliver the same health insurance quotes that any other broker would deliver.

BenefitsLab will show that client exactly how to implement a cost containment strategy for today’s health insurance costs which also serves as the initial step in that strategy to better control future health insurance costs.  In essence, it becomes a five year strategy.

Which world best fits your needs, the flat world or the round world?
